Itinerary


07:00 Hrs. Pick up from hotel lobby and depart to Lamphun Town, (45 minutes drive) its history dates back to 700 A.D. Visit Phrathat Haripunchai Temple; the tallest chedi is 46 meters high and is topped by a nine-tier umbrella made from 6.5 kg of gold.

Travel along the mountainous highway to Lampang Town; then visit Phrathat Lampang Luang Temple; the northern finest temple and best presentation of Lanna style architecture.

Visit to Dhanabadee Ceramic Museum; the legend of chicken bowl and ceramic of Lampang. The museum will show how the first Dhanabadee Group, was established, the original chicken bowl and the history of ceramics manufacturing in Lampang and Thailand and shopping factory outlet at The Muse Shop for Chicken bowl, ceramic home decorations and ceramic souvenir.

Visit to Wat Si Rong Mueang, the Burmese Style temple built in 1905 during the time when Lampang was the commercial and forestry centre. Major architectural works include the Viharn made of wood with several overlapping gables in the Burmese style.

Wat Pa Fang, the Burmese Style temple built during the reign of King Rama IV has a large, glittering gold Chedi containing a Holy Relic brought over from Myanmar around 1906. The extensive Sala Kan Parian (preaching hall) is made entirely of wood with Burmese-style overlapping roofs.

Wat Chai Mongkhon, the notable is the Kuti (monk's living quarters) which is a white cement building with Burmese-style wooden roof. Inside is housed a bronze Buddha statue of fine workmanship cast in Mandalay, Myanmar.

Wat Pong Sanook it is one of very important temple of Lampang Province and it become closely tied to this area’s history. Wat Pong Sanuk was built during the reign of King Anantayot in 1223 BE or AD 680 at the same time that Lampang was founded. The temple received its name from the people of Chiang Saen, who migrated to this area.

08:00 Hrs. Pick up from hotel lobby and depart to Phrae Province (1½ hours drive). On the way stop to visit Phra That Suthon Mongkhon Khiri Temple, the prominent landmark is the golden teak museum known as Suwan Ho Kham Museum in the Lanna-style and constructed from 14 traditional houses.

Arrive to Phare Town, visit to Vongburi House; where is located in town, and was built in 1897, a 2 – story build in teak, Thai - European style fine architectural house. The house was awarded “an excellent conservation of the year 1993” award by the Society of Siam Architecture under Royal Patronage.

Then visit to Phra That Cho Hae Temple; a major religious and perhaps the most sacred Buddhism site of Phrae. The highlight is the 33-meter-tall Chiang Saen-style phra that (pagoda), wrapped with bright brass sheets, which enshrines holy relics of Lord Buddha. Continue through rural villages to Muang Phi, which depicts strange eroded rock formations, sandstone canyons and creeks. In old times villagers often got lost in the shrubs, which inspired them to name the place Phae Muang Phi, or “Ghost City”.

Depart to Nan Province (2 hours drive) where is a remote province to be explored for its natural beauty. Nan’s ethnic groups are another highlight and differ significantly from those in other northern provinces.

08:00 Hrs. Pick up from hotel lobby and depart to Phumin Temple, which was constructed in 1596 and restored during the reign of Chao Ananta Vora Ritthi Det (1867-1875). This temple is also a home of Thailand’s famous ancient wall murals called Pu Man, Ya Man which appears on the wall paintings, in Tai Lue style.

Continue to visit Phra That Chang Kham Temple; as it was constructed to be a Royal Temple. According to the 74th stone of inscription discovered within the compound, this temple was built during the reign of Chaopu Khaeng in 1406 to be a place for rulers to conduct Buddhist ceremonies and the Oath of Allegiance Ceremony.

Depart to visit Nan National Museum; the museum was built in 1903 by Phra Chao Suriyapnong Phalidet, the penultimate lord of Nan. The display the historical artifacts and the most distinguished is the Black Ivory. Continue to visit Phra That Chae Haeng Temple; which believed to contain the relic of the Lord Buddha. The Viharn’s door frame is Naga shape designed, which considered being one of the great artistic and best in local architectures.

Then transfer back to hotel, free at leisure.

08:00 Hrs. Pick up from hotel lobby and depart to Payao Province (3 hours drive) where Kwan Phayao; an extensive fresh-water lake which is the largest fresh-water fish habitat in the upper North which provides the livelihood of many of the local people. Arrive to Phayao Town and relaxing at Kwan Phayao (Phayao Lake); Kwan Phayao is a natural lake with a mountain range in its backdrop. In the past, Kwan Phayao was an alluvial plain with the long winding path of Ing River running from the north to the southeast of the plain. There were also ponds of different sizes and water channels that flow down from Khun Kao Doi Luang and connected, making the plain fertile. Since then, many people came to settle in the area and formed a community.

Visit to Wat Sri Khom Kam with its Phra Chao Ton Luang Buddha statue, 17 meters high. Locals call this temple “Wat Phrachao Ton Luang”, after the principal Buddha image hosted in the temple. The statue is not only a Phayao province signature sight, but also typifies the Lanna Thai Kingdom style. A special ceremony is held each year during the Buddhist Visakha Puja Day to pay homage to the image. One of temple’s halls stands in the lake of Kwan Phayao.

08:00 Hrs. Pick up from hotel lobby and depart to Wiang Pa Pao Town (2 hours drive) along the mountainous highway. Visit to Phra Chao Luang Temple (Mont Phra Chao Lai) or The Temple on Mountain with many Buddha images. There are also old-fashioned kingships in the cave before they were in danger. Within the temple are many places and there are many gods of God on a prominent hilltop. At night, the golden light reflecting beautifully. Completed in 2011, the old relics of the millennium and the relics.
